Volvo NA refers to this part as the "MAP SENSOR LINEAR" or "PRESSURE SENSOR LINEAR" which determines and cuts off power to your AC system if the pressure is too high or too low. This switch is located next to the receiver-drier (accumulator) behind the passenger side headlight.
