Rack and pinion bellows are protective rubber or synthetic covers also known as boots that seal and protect the rack and the joints from the rack to the spindles. They encase the steering rack's inner tie rods and prevent contaminants like dirt, debris, and moisture from entering, which can cause wear and tear on the system’s moving parts.

Rack and Pinion Bellows Failure Symptoms
  • Visible Cracks or Tears: Physical inspection may reveal cracks or splits in the bellows, allowing contaminants to enter the steering rack

Questionable
Split within 1 year and caused the tie rod ends to fail. Still better than anything you can find aside from OE

good value
Great price, but I would say the plastic compound is a bit crisp. If not careful when installing (of when shop does your alignment) these will separate at the neck easily. I continue to buy them going forward, being cautious not to tare.
