Product Information

The NGK V Power spark plug offers a 90 degree V-Power center copper or platinum electrode that provides performance, improved ignitability, increased fuel economy and lower emissions over standard Spark Plugs. The Trivalent Metal Plating has superior anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties. NGK's V-Power Plugs Feature a Unique V-Cut in the Center Electrode that Directs the Spark to the Edge of the Electrode, Helping the Spark Develop More Rapidly, Increasing Ignitability and Reducing Quenching.

confirmed fitment for 850/s70/v70 P80s
I wanted to see if these really were good enough replacements instead of always buying the volvo plugs. These work great in both a T5 and NA engines. (Tested them on 2 diff s70s)

If it ain't dark, it don't spark
My passat was running fine, but wanted to try new things. The old spark plugs were getting stale, we needed to reignite that flame we had when we first met. My friend suggested checking out FCP euro and looking for new spark plugs, thats where I came across the NGK69-62. It combines all your favorite aspects of a spark plug, its long, it has a little bit of metal, its hard, and it definitely sparks. My passat and I couldn't be any happier.

Does the job!
These are just a step below the expensive OEM Volvo plugs, but do the job adequately. They seem to last around 20-30K miles (that's when I replaced my plug after getting a misfire and this resolved the issue), and provide a good spark. They are pre-gapped (I checked anyway with my gapping tool) so they are a drop-in replacement. Better to get a few packs of these copper plugs than the iridium stuff that some Volvo engines seem to hate :)

I run these copper plugs in my Chipped 1.8T and they're great. The copper electrode helps dissipate heat and bought me about an extra degree of timing at full load over my previous iridium plugs. I would definitely recommend these so long as you don't mind changing your plugs every oil change.
