Suspension Strut Assembly

If your ride feels a little bouncy or you can feel clunks in the suspension while it's going over bumps it is likely due to worn strut assemblies and shock absorbers. The purpose of the strut assembly is it acts as a central pivot point for the suspension while housing the coil spring. It also dampens the compression and rebound of the coil spring as the suspension moves up and down. When replacing suspension components it is highly recommended to replace them in pairs.

I thought these struts were a great improvement over the stock ride on my 2006 Saab 9-3. I could not believe the price of these at the time, less than a deuce for both. Now they are over a deuce each. Waiting for the price to come down again and do the same job on my 2009 Saab. The job took some time because I didn't order the strut top assembly at the same time but the job was relatively straight forward with the right tools. Definitely need to rent the strut removal tool.

Part fit on my Saab 93 Aero and the ride is good. The old strut was still OK at 85K miles, but I had to change a broken spring so ordered the Bilstein
