Seat Trim Panel

A seat trim panel is the molded plastic or upholstered cover fitted to the side or base of a vehicle seat. Its purpose is mainly cosmetic, giving the seat a finished appearance by concealing structural components, mechanisms, and wiring. In many vehicles, the seat trim panel also provides mounting for controls such as power seat switches, lumbar adjustment levers, or memory seat buttons, making it both a decorative and functional component of the interior.

Seat Trim Panel Failure Symptoms
  • Cracks, warping, or broken clips that cause the panel to loosen or detach.
  • Rattling noises while driving due to poor fitment.
  • Malfunctioning seat controls if switches mounted in the panel become damaged or misaligned.
