A seat back panel is the hard or upholstered cover located on the rear side of a vehicle’s front seat backrest. It protects the seat’s internal structure and components, provides a finished look, and sometimes includes storage pockets or mounting points for accessories.

Seat Back Panel Failure Symptoms
  • Cracks, Breaks, or Warping: Physical damage from impact, wear, or aging that affects the panel’s shape or integrity.
  • Loose or Detached Panel: The panel may come loose or rattle if clips or fasteners break.
  • Damaged Storage Pockets: If the panel has pockets, they may tear or sag, reducing functionality.
