Saab License Lamp - Genuine Saab 13502178

Product Information

A license plate light is a small light or set of lights positioned above or near the rear license plate on a vehicle. Its primary function is to illuminate the license plate at night or in low-light conditions, ensuring that the plate remains visible to other drivers and law enforcement. These lights are usually connected to the vehicle's lighting system, turning on automatically when the headlights or parking lights are activated.

• License Plate Light Not Illuminating: The most obvious symptom of a failing license plate light is that it does not turn on. This could be due to a burned-out bulb, an electrical issue, or a failed light assembly
• Dim or Flickering Light: A dim or flickering license plate light often indicates a bulb that is about to fail or a loose electrical connection, which can reduce visibility of the license plate

About Genuine Saab

The original parts used by Saab to build your car are available as replacement parts under the “Genuine Saab” brand. Manufactured under the direction of Saab, expect excellent quality and a premium price since these parts are exclusively available through the Saab Dealership network.

You may not realize this, but the parts that make up your Saab are not necessarily manufactured by Saab. No cause for concern, as Saab designs the part, hires a manufacturer, and ensures its quality to you. In fact, many of these manufacturers have been making parts for Saab for decades. In our industry these manufacturers are called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and these are often brands you recognize, including Lemforder, ZF, Sachs, Bosch, Valeo, Zimmermann, Siemens VDO, Corteco, and more. Don’t be surprised to open that Genuine Saab parts box and find an OEM branded part inside, simply with the addition of a Saab logo.

Be sure to keep an eye out for OE tags on our product pages to quickly identify parts coming direct from OE manufacturers. That extra bit of insight could save you some serious money while shopping! Refer to our OE Academy for further information regarding the OE/OEM tags throughout the site.
