The ignition lock cylinder is a key component of a vehicle's ignition system, responsible for allowing the vehicle to start and run smoothly. The cylinder is usually located on the steering column and works in conjunction with the ignition switch. As the key is inserted into the lock cylinder and turned, it engages with various mechanical components within the cylinder, setting off a chain reaction that leads to the ignition turning on.
