Saab Exterior Door Handle Gasket - Genuine Saab 12842377

Product Information

An Exterior Door Handle Gasket is a rubber or foam seal that fits between a vehicle’s exterior door handle and the body panel. Its main role is to provide a tight seal that prevents water, dust, and debris from entering the door cavity while also reducing vibration and protecting the paintwork around the handle.

• Water leaks inside the door or cabin – water intrusion during rain or car washes.
• Increased wind noise – whistling sounds at higher speeds due to poor sealing.
• Handle rattling or looseness – gasket no longer cushions the handle properly.

About Genuine Saab

The original parts used by Saab to build your car are available as replacement parts under the “Genuine Saab” brand. Manufactured under the direction of Saab, expect excellent quality and a premium price since these parts are exclusively available through the Saab Dealership network.

You may not realize this, but the parts that make up your Saab are not necessarily manufactured by Saab. No cause for concern, as Saab designs the part, hires a manufacturer, and ensures its quality to you. In fact, many of these manufacturers have been making parts for Saab for decades. In our industry these manufacturers are called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and these are often brands you recognize, including Lemforder, ZF, Sachs, Bosch, Valeo, Zimmermann, Siemens VDO, Corteco, and more. Don’t be surprised to open that Genuine Saab parts box and find an OEM branded part inside, simply with the addition of a Saab logo.

Be sure to keep an eye out for OE tags on our product pages to quickly identify parts coming direct from OE manufacturers. That extra bit of insight could save you some serious money while shopping! Refer to our OE Academy for further information regarding the OE/OEM tags throughout the site.
