Saab Outside Air Temp Sensor - VDO 9152245

Product Information

An Ambient Air Temperature Sensor is a component used in vehicles to measure the temperature of the air outside the vehicle. This sensor typically works in conjunction with the engine control unit (ECU) and is crucial for various vehicle functions, including fuel management, engine performance, and climate control systems. The ambient air temperature reading can also influence how the vehicle's engine control system adjusts fuel mixture, ignition timing, and other parameters for optimal performance.

• Inaccurate Temperature Readings: If the sensor is malfunctioning, it may provide incorrect ambient temperature readings. This can lead to improper adjustments in fuel mixture and air intake, affecting engine performance
• Check Engine Light: A faulty ambient air temperature sensor can trigger the Check Engine light on the dashboard. Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to the sensor may be stored in the vehicle's onboard diagnostics system
