A drive shaft damper is a mechanical component designed to reduce the vibrations and noise produced by a vehicle's drivetrain. It is typically located at the end of the drive shaft, near the engine or transmission, and acts as a buffer between the rotating components of the drivetrain.

The purpose of a drive shaft damper is to absorb and dissipate the energy created by the rotation of the drive shaft, which can cause excess vibration and noise if left unchecked.
