Saab Bumper Cover Bracket - Genuine Saab 12794228

Product Information

A bumper cover bracket is a structural or support component located behind or around a vehicle’s front or rear bumper cover. It is typically made of plastic or lightweight composite material and serves to:

• Maintain proper alignment and spacing between the bumper cover and the vehicle body.
• Absorb minor impacts and distribute force to reduce damage to the bumper or frame.
• Support attached components, such as sensors, lights, or trim pieces.
• Enhance aerodynamics by keeping the bumper in the correct position.

Although it doesn’t bear major structural loads like the bumper reinforcement, it is important for proper fitment and function of the bumper assembly.

About Genuine Saab

The original parts used by Saab to build your car are available as replacement parts under the “Genuine Saab” brand. Manufactured under the direction of Saab, expect excellent quality and a premium price since these parts are exclusively available through the Saab Dealership network.

You may not realize this, but the parts that make up your Saab are not necessarily manufactured by Saab. No cause for concern, as Saab designs the part, hires a manufacturer, and ensures its quality to you. In fact, many of these manufacturers have been making parts for Saab for decades. In our industry these manufacturers are called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and these are often brands you recognize, including Lemforder, ZF, Sachs, Bosch, Valeo, Zimmermann, Siemens VDO, Corteco, and more. Don’t be surprised to open that Genuine Saab parts box and find an OEM branded part inside, simply with the addition of a Saab logo.

Be sure to keep an eye out for OE tags on our product pages to quickly identify parts coming direct from OE manufacturers. That extra bit of insight could save you some serious money while shopping! Refer to our OE Academy for further information regarding the OE/OEM tags throughout the site.
