This offering from Genuine Porsche is a replacement windshield wiper linkage for your Macan. The windshield wiper linkage on your vehicle is located in the cowl area and is connected to the wiper motor which is responsible for the movement of your windshield wipers. The wiper linkage is also referred to as the wiper transmission. Common failure symptoms are typically when one of the two wiper arms falls out of sync and becomes inoperative which is caused by either a separation in the linkage or worn-out bushings. If you're experiencing any of the aforementioned, you may want to inspect your wiper linkage and replace as necessary.
A windshield wiper linkage is the mechanical assembly that connects the wiper motor to the wiper arms, transferring the motor’s motion so the blades sweep across the windshield. It typically consists of rods and joints that synchronize the movement of both wipers. Over time, the linkage can wear out due to stress, corrosion, or lack of lubrication.
