Product Information

Bilstein B8 Performance Plus dampers are a performance upgrade to OE dampers designed to be paired with aftermarket lowering springs. These dampers offer application specific valve settings with a monotube design to bring out the best handling performance of a vehicle. Each damper is rigorously tested for quality that meets or exceeds OE standards. B8 Performance Plus dampers are the ideal solution for pairing with a lowering spring for improved handling and a sportier look with the added benefit of world-famous Bilstein quality.

  • Use with aftermarket lowering springs
WARNING: Proposition 65 information
Suspension Strut Assembly

If your ride feels a little bouncy or you can feel clunks in the suspension while it's going over bumps it is likely due to worn strut assemblies and shock absorbers. The purpose of the strut assembly is it acts as a central pivot point for the suspension while housing the coil spring. It also dampens the compression and rebound of the coil spring as the suspension moves up and down. When replacing suspension components it is highly recommended to replace them in pairs.

Suspension Strut Assembly Failure Symptoms
  • Noise over bumps
  • Abnormal tire wear
  • Vehicle wandering while driving
  • Poor Steering response
  • Poor Handling
  • Harsh ride

Strut that like its hot!
So there I was with a series of issues with the Porsche 911 front suspension. Had the old bang, noises and poor performance from a lose suspension that was 16 years old original parts still in car. I know what you are thinking and I too said the same.. Dang P.O. (Previous Owner) so as a new owner took it upon myself to refresh that aged old handling and reconstruct the front suspension. Purchased these beauties on sale with loyalty discount and thew some new strut mounts, some nice polyurethane control arm links (EPS) and new sway bar links. Love the yellow color as opposed to the OE black Bilstein struts but hey for the money these bad boys gave that 911 Carrera a new pep in its stand and in it's performance level. The install was a breeze and now the handling is a hoot to drive! If you can afford to do a full system refresh I recommend it. Can't go wrong with Bilstein which is Original Equipment stuff and for the FCP price its a win, win situation.
