A Sunroof Seal is a rubber or foam gasket that runs around the perimeter of a vehicle's sunroof. Its primary function is to create a watertight and airtight seal between the sunroof and the roof of the vehicle, preventing water, air, and noise from entering the cabin. The sunroof seal is essential for maintaining the integrity of the sunroof system and ensuring a comfortable driving experience.

Sunroof Seal Failure Symptoms
  • Water Leaks: One of the most common symptoms of a failing sunroof seal is water leakage into the cabin. If the seal is damaged, worn, or improperly seated, rainwater can seep through, leading to wet carpets, headliners, or interior components
  • Wind Noise: A degraded or compromised seal can result in increased wind noise when driving, particularly at higher speeds. This noise occurs due to air escaping through gaps where the seal no longer provides a tight fit
  • Condensation or Moisture: If the sunroof seal is failing, you may notice condensation or moisture buildup on the interior surfaces of the vehicle, especially during humid weather. This can create an uncomfortable environment and potentially lead to mold or mildew growth
