Product Information

This strut assembly kit will restore the ride quality and handling you've come to know from your 996 911 Carrera. The struts typically wear out slowly over time under normal driving conditions making changes in handling hard to notice. The kit includes almost everything needed to completely swap out your worn struts and all of the additional parts such as the strut mounts, strut mount bearings, bump stops, and hardware. With new struts, you can expect improved handling and ride quality, reduced braking distances, and consistent tire wear.

There are two different sized spring seat isolators, 99634351100 with 3.0mm thickness and 99634351101 with 6.5mm thickness, which are purchased separately. Measure your existing spring seat isolator to ensure the correct size is being used for your application.

The coil springs are not included and can be purchased separately if needed.

Suspension Strut Assembly Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.

Suspension Strut Assembly Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Bouncy ride: The most noticeable sign, where the car continues to bounce excessively after hitting a bump
  • Nose dive when braking: The front end of the car dips significantly when applying the brakes
  • Excessive body roll in corners: The car leans excessively when turning, feeling unstable
  • Uneven tire wear: Irregular wear patterns on the tires, often with cupping or scalloping due to inconsistent contact with the road

Questions & Answers

Ask a question
Question Posted by Rob
I'm guessing there really is no way to verify the size of the spring isolators without removing the strut first, correct?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, the most reliable method is to remove the strut and measure the existing spring isolator. You may be able to identify it beforehand from the spring’s original paint marking if that marking is still visible—commonly white for 3.0 mm and green for 6.5 mm—but age, replacement springs, or missing markings can make that unreliable, so we recommend confirming the actual thickness before ordering.
