Product Information

LN Engineering IMS Solution kit for Porsche M96 engines originally equipped with a single row IMS bearing. This kit replaces the single row ball bearing with an oil-pressure fed bearing similar to what is used in the aircooled Mezger engines and in the 996 Turbo, GT2, and GT3 engines.

  • Oil Line and Fittings

Model year 2000-2001 engines had a mixed installation of single row and dual row IMS bearings. Some late model 2005 engines were also fitted with a larger bearing that is not serviceable without a complete engine tear-down. Visual inspection is the only reliable method to determine which type of bearing is needed.

This kit requires the IMS Pro Tool Kit, 106-08.13, the Faultless Tools IMS Tool Kit, 106-08.22, and the Supplemental Tool Kit 106-08.21.

Installation by an automotive professional is required to ensure proper fit, function, and any necessary support by the manufacturer.
