IPD Turbo Y-Pipes feature an accentuated merge collector area that allows the intake air flows from each intercooler to meet in a more parallel fashion as air enters the throttle body, minimizing turbulence and increasing boost response. The combination of the Plenum and the turbo Y-Pipe will deliver substantial power and torque gains guaranteed to transform your Porsche driving experience.

The revolutionary 997.2 Turbo IPD "Y" Pipe was built for the more demanding Turbo performance customer. This is not a cast reproduction of the factory Y pipe but a complete re-design from scratch, developed to deliver even greater air flow for both stock and highly modified Turbos.

The factory Y pipe becomes restrictive when adding substantial power gains. The IPD "Y" Pipe has larger inlets and an optimized diversion area allowing for even greater power gains. This superior and more efficient design flows 126 more cfm than the factory Y pipe delivering the additional power needed to raise the performance bar on any Turbo.

Bigger isn't always better, and the IPD "Y" Pipe is designed to deliver optimum flow without being too large causing a loss in boost response.

The IPD 997.2 Turbo Y Pipe is designed to be a direct replacement of the factory OEM Y Pipe. There are no modifications or fabrication required for installing the IPD Y Pipe. This is an easy and straightforward bolt-on upgrade.

Engine Air Intake Hose

The engine air intake hose channels clean outside air through the air filter and into the intake manifold. Depending on whether your engine is naturally aspirated or turbocharged, these hoses are typically made from flexible plastic or rubber, which can degrade over time. Maintaining a clean and sealed air intake system is essential for proper combustion of the air/fuel mixture. A damaged or failing air intake hose can lead to reduced fuel efficiency, compromised engine performance, and improper fuel mixture, potentially causing damage to the engine.

Engine Air Intake Hose Failure Symptoms
  • Check engine light: The check engine light may come on and stay on, indicating a lean condition
  • Rough idle: The engine may run rough at idle and under load
  • Intake noises: Additional intake noises may be heard during acceleration as air rushes in between cracks on a broken intake hose
  • Poor fuel economy: If there is not enough air, the engine will demand more fuel to compensate, leading to poor fuel economy
