Product Information

As your fuel hoses age the rubber will degrade and oxidize. High temperatures and ozone are also contributing factors to fuel hose wear. When the hoses do fail it will leak fuel in the engine compartment. One sign of leaking fuel is if you smell gas when the heater boxes are open.

This Griffiths fuel hose kit contains the three fuel hoses that sit on top of the engine. Their fuel hoses use the latest SAE J30R9 hose which has a highers resistance to standard fuel and alcohol fuels such as E85. They also have a lower permeation rate compared to the stock fuel hose and the older J30 spec hose.

We also include a Mahle fuel filter in this kit. It's safe insurance to replace the fuel filter any time new fuel components are being installed. This ensures the new parts are not contaminated or wear out prematurely due to a clogged filter.

Installation requires the removal of the right side intake manifold. Replacement intake gaskets are, 93011019714. Six are required per intake manifold.

Fuel Hose Kit

A fuel hose is a flexible tube designed to transport fuel from one component of the fuel system to another, such as from the fuel tank to the fuel pump or from the pump to the engine. Made of rubber, synthetic materials, metal pipes, or reinforced rubber, fuel hoses are built to withstand the pressure, temperature, and chemical exposure that comes with handling fuel. Fuel hoses are essential to the proper functioning of the fuel delivery system and the overall performance of the engine.

Fuel Hose Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Fuel Leaks: The most obvious and dangerous sign of a failing fuel hose is a fuel leak. Leaking fuel not only causes performance issues but also poses a significant fire hazard.
  • Fuel Pressure Loss: A damaged or leaking fuel hose can cause a drop in fuel pressure, leading to inconsistent fuel delivery to the engine. This may result in hesitation during acceleration, poor fuel economy, or misfires.
  • Decreased Fuel Efficiency: Leaking fuel due to a compromised hose can cause fuel wastage, which will reduce your vehicle’s fuel efficiency.
