Product Information

The Genuine Porsche water pump that came on the 996 911 featured a plastic impeller. Over time, the plastic breaks down leading to the impeller breaking loose and debris finding their way through your cooling system. This kit replaces it with a metal impeller so this problem won't happen again.

Engine Water Pump Kit

An engine water pump is a crucial component of a vehicle's cooling system. It circulates coolant (a mix of antifreeze and water) from the radiator through the engine and back to the radiator to prevent the engine from overheating. The pump is typically driven by the engine via a belt, chain, or gear. A water pump's key functions are to maintain a consistent flow of coolant through the engine block, cylinder heads, and radiator and regulate engine temperature to prevent overheating or freezing in extreme conditions.
