Engine Water Pump and Thermostat Kit

Includes the water pump and gasket, water pump pulley, the engine coolant thermostat, three thermostat gaskets, hardware for the thermostat housing cover, water pump and pulley hardware, and coolant. The water pump pulley is composite and known to crack over time from experiencing thousands of heat cycles. We have included it in this kit because you may not know it is cracked until removed from the vehicle. Even if it looks ok this is the perfect time to replace it since it is being removed to replace the water pump.

The Graf water pump in this kit replaces the failure prone plastic factory impeller with a metal impeller to add reliability and longevity to your cooling system.

If your thermostat has failed two common symptoms are the thermostat stuck closed causing the engine to overheat or stuck open where the engine won't get up to operating temperature or take longer than normal to get to operating temperature. Any leaks from this area could be from the thermostat housing gasket.

Engine Water Pump Kit

An engine water pump is a crucial component of a vehicle's cooling system. It circulates coolant (a mix of antifreeze and water) from the radiator through the engine and back to the radiator to prevent the engine from overheating. The pump is typically driven by the engine via a belt, chain, or gear. A water pump's key functions are to maintain a consistent flow of coolant through the engine block, cylinder heads, and radiator and regulate engine temperature to prevent overheating or freezing in extreme conditions.
