This kit from the Porsche team at FCP Euro includes everything you need to refresh the cooling system on your M96 powered Porsche.

For this service kit, we've chosen a high quality aftermarket Geba water pump featuring a metal impeller, paired with the original temp OE thermostat. If you live in a colder climate, or drive your Porsche in the winter, the standard OE thermostat is the correct product for your use case.

A low temp thermostat is a great option to keep engine temperatures under control during spirited driving. However, for daily driven examples in a cold climate, a lower temp thermostat may prevent your car from getting all the way up to temperature.

Metal water pump impellers solve the issue of composite impeller degradation. However this issue is replaced by the separate concern of damaging your aluminum engine block in the event of a bearing failure. The clearance between the aluminum block and the impeller blades on these motors is very small. If there were to be any misalignment pertaining to installation or bearing failure, metal impeller blades would do significantly more damage to your engine than a composite impeller blade.

Engine Water Pump Kit

An engine water pump is a crucial component of a vehicle's cooling system. It circulates coolant (a mix of antifreeze and water) from the radiator through the engine and back to the radiator to prevent the engine from overheating. The pump is typically driven by the engine via a belt, chain, or gear. A water pump's key functions are to maintain a consistent flow of coolant through the engine block, cylinder heads, and radiator and regulate engine temperature to prevent overheating or freezing in extreme conditions.
