Engine Piston Ring

An engine piston ring set consists of multiple rings that fit into grooves around each piston. Their main roles are to seal the combustion chamber, regulate oil consumption by scraping excess oil from cylinder walls, and transfer heat from the piston to the cylinder wall. Typically, a set includes compression rings (for sealing combustion gases) and oil control rings (for managing lubrication).

  • Loss of compression and power, leading to poor acceleration and misfires.
