Porsche Disc Brake Caliper Piston Kit - Frenkit 228902

Restore proper brake caliper operation with this Frenkit Brake Caliper Repair Kit. Designed to replace worn or deteriorated sealing components within the brake caliper, this kit provides an effective solution for rebuilding a serviceable original caliper rather than replacing the complete assembly.

Brake caliper seals operate under constant hydraulic pressure while being exposed to repeated heat cycles and demanding driving conditions. Over time, rubber components can harden, swell, tear, or otherwise deteriorate. Worn seals can contribute to brake fluid leaks, sticking pistons, brake drag, uneven pad wear, and excessive heat.

This application-specific Frenkit repair kit replaces critical wear components within the caliper to help restore proper hydraulic sealing and smooth piston operation. Rebuilding the existing caliper is an excellent option when the caliper housing and other reusable components remain in good condition.

Features & Benefits

• Restores Brake Caliper Sealing: Replaces worn sealing components to help maintain hydraulic pressure and prevent brake fluid leaks.

• Helps Restore Piston Movement: Fresh sealing components support smooth piston operation during brake application and release.

• Helps Address Brake Drag: Replacing deteriorated caliper components can help correct sticking pistons, uneven brake pad wear, and excessive brake temperatures when seal condition is the underlying cause.

• Protects the Caliper: Replacement components help protect critical internal surfaces from moisture, dirt, and road debris.

• Retains the Original Caliper: Allows a serviceable OEM brake caliper body to be rebuilt rather than replacing the complete caliper assembly.

• Application-Specific Fitment: Manufactured by Frenkit for the intended brake caliper application.

Service Note

Thoroughly inspect the brake caliper before rebuilding. Caliper pistons, bores, guide hardware, and sealing surfaces should be checked for corrosion, scoring, or excessive wear. A severely corroded, damaged, or otherwise compromised caliper may require additional components or complete replacement.

During assembly, use only brake-system-compatible lubricants and the brake fluid specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Always follow the appropriate brake bleeding procedure after completing hydraulic brake system repairs.
