Brake caliper guide pins allow the caliper to slide laterally as the brakes are applied and released, helping maintain even clamping force across both brake pads. Over time, exposure to heat, moisture, road salt, and deteriorated lubricant can cause the guide pins to corrode, bind, or develop excessive wear. Restricted caliper movement can contribute to brake drag, uneven inner and outer pad wear, excessive heat, and premature brake component wear.

The Frenkit 812001 Guide Pin Kit provides application-specific replacement components for servicing the existing brake caliper carrier rather than replacing otherwise serviceable brake hardware.
