Restore proper brake caliper guide pin operation with the Frenkit 824002 Brake Caliper Guide Basic Kit. Designed for servicing the guide system of a floating brake caliper, this kit replaces worn or deteriorated guide components that help support smooth, controlled caliper movement.

Floating brake calipers rely on their guide pin system to move laterally as the brakes are applied and released. The guide components help protect and support this movement while keeping moisture, dirt, road salt, and other contaminants away from the sliding surfaces. As these components age, damaged or deteriorated guide boots can allow contamination and corrosion to develop, potentially contributing to binding caliper hardware, uneven brake pad wear, brake drag, and excessive heat.

The Frenkit 824002 Guide Basic Kit provides application-specific service components for repairing the existing brake caliper guide system without unnecessarily replacing otherwise serviceable caliper hardware. With a specified 10mm diameter, the kit is designed for compatible brake caliper applications and is an ideal addition to a thorough brake service or caliper overhaul.

Service Note

Inspect the brake caliper guide pins and guide bores for corrosion, scoring, excessive wear, or other damage before installation. The 810049 is a Guide Basic Kit and should not be confused with a complete Guide Pin Kit. If the guide pins themselves are worn, corroded, or damaged, they should also be replaced.

Clean the guide pin mounting surfaces thoroughly during installation and use only the brake-system-compatible lubricant specified for the application. Always verify vehicle and brake caliper fitment before installation.
