Decklid Seal

The deck lid seal is a weatherstrip that lines the edge of the trunk (deck lid) to create a tight, protective barrier between the lid and the vehicle body. Its primary function is to prevent water, dust, and debris from entering the trunk compartment while also reducing wind noise and vibration. Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber, the deck lid seal ensures a secure closure, protects stored items, and helps maintain the vehicle’s fit-and-finish.

Decklid Seal Failure Symptoms
  • Water leaks or moisture inside the trunk – caused by a worn, cracked, or compressed seal.
  • Increased wind noise or vibration when driving – from poor sealing contact.
