This repair kit does not service every convertible-top motor used on a 2001 911; if you need the complete side drive motor, the possible replacements are 99656167501 for the left side and 99656167601 for the right side, but please send your full VIN and the failed motor’s location to service@fcpeuro.com so we can confirm the correct part before you reorder.

Does this stop them from leaking hydrulic fluid?

Not necessarily, these are intended to fix mechanically malfunctioning motors not address leaks. I would recommend inspecting the parts that are leaking for visible damage or issues before proceeding to purchasing this specific product, as the entire unit may actually need to be replaced instead of rebuilt.
