Product Information

Convert your factory dual-mass flywheel and clutch with an Aasco billet steel single-mass flywheel and Sachs Performance pressure plate and clutch disc with this kit. Kit includes all of the clutch hardware, seals, and bearings for a full and complete installation. We also include the transmission input shaft seal and rear crankshaft seal since those are common areas you will find leaking especially on high mileage vehicles.

The Sachs Performance pressure plate and clutch disc increases the clamping load which allows for consistent and reliable power transfer on high horsepower applications while the Aasco Motorsports lightweight flywheel reduces the rotating mass on the crankshaft. This kit can be used on the street or track.

997.1 Clutch Kit
Installed myself on my 2007 997.1 Targa 4S for 90,000 service. Everything was included for the job, except for a new slave cylinder which I knew I needed to order separate. Clutch feels completely different to stock OEM Dual Mass. I have 2000+ miles on it, and the new clutch has broken it. Clutch pedal feels lighter than before, but the spring plate is still very grabby with less flywheel mass to manage. Requires a very intentional balance of gas and bite point off the line. Revs are super fast now. Blips and rev drops are immediate, car feels sportier. I will miss the buttery smooth, no thinking launch from a red light of the old dual mass. But this is solid upgrade if you want faster revs and a more deliberate shift. Very happy with the kit.
