Product Information

During manufacturing Porsche did not include a center radiator on models which were being shipped and sold in cold climate locations. If you're looking to add a center radiator to your 987.2 Cayman we have developed this kit specifically for you. The factory cooling system is great on the street for stock vehicles, but any Porsche that is modified, used on the track, or driven hard will require an upgrade to the cooling system. This is where the addition of a third, center, radiator comes in. It reduces temperatures and adds reliability to your engine and cooling system while preventing overheating and engine failure.

This is a popular and necessary upgrade for models which will be used on the track. The extra cooling capacity keeps coolant temperatures in the optimal range while adding reliability and durability to your Porsche.

Included in the kit is the center radiator along with all of the mounting components, hoses, ducting, and hardware needed to fully install a center radiator.

The bumper splash shield will need to be removed and cutouts in the bottom will need to be cut to allow for the incoming air to exit.

Radiator Kit

Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.
