Product Information

The backup light switch completes the circuit to illuminate the reverse lights when the shifter is in reverse. If the reverse lights do not illuminate and the bulb filament is intact then the backup light switch could be faulty.

Back Up Light Switch

The back-up light switch is an electrical component that activates the reverse lights when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Mounted on the transmission or gear selector mechanism, it signals the vehicle’s lighting system to illuminate the rear back-up lamps, improving visibility and alerting others that the vehicle is reversing. Built with durable contacts and housings to withstand heat, vibration, and fluid exposure, the switch is essential for both safety and compliance with vehicle regulations.

About Facet

Facet began in 1946 by Francesco Andriano with the core principles of dedication, skill, courage to do, and to innovate when he opened up his laboratory. Soon after WWII, Franceso Andiano founded F.A.C.E.T with his son Mario. They began creating tungsten contacts for the telephone industry which was then a potential market with rapid growth. Due to the materials used, they were able to enter into another market, now producing plated contacts for ignition components in the Automotive Industry. In 1961 the company expanded by now producing condensers followed by caps and rotors in 1966. Since the early 90's, FACET has transformed to accommodate the arrival of electronics which as been a large part to this day. Since then, FACET has put a strong emphasis on continuous process improvements which continue to this day.
