Product Information

The rear wiper motor is what operates the functionality of your rear wiper blade. Overtime, this motor can become weak moving the rear wiper blade slower than usual and not allowing the arm to return to the correct position. If you notice any unusual before with your rear wiper arm we suggest to replace the wiper arm motor.

Wiper Motor

A back glass wiper motor is the electric motor that powers the rear windshield wiper on hatchbacks, SUVs, and some wagons. It drives the wiper arm back and forth across the rear glass to clear rain, snow, or dirt, ensuring good visibility through the rear window. The motor is usually mounted inside the tailgate or hatch and works in sync with the wiper switch and washer system.

Wiper Motor Failure Symptoms
  • Rear wiper not moving at all, often due to a burned-out motor or internal electrical fault.
  • Slow, intermittent, or stuck movement, caused by a weak or failing motor.
  • Unusual noises (grinding, whining, or clicking) from the motor area when the rear wiper is engaged.

Cayenne Wiper Motor
My wiper motor on my 2011 Cayenne S died. This was a bolt on replacement at a fraction of the cost of a Porsche unit. Works great.

Works Great, fits correctly!
Install was very easy. All bolts lined up, harness plugged in and washer hose fit correctly. 2016 Cayenne Base Keep in mind, there is a separate nozzle on the wiper arm side of the motor that is not included. Mine was slightly deformed and one of the jets was clogged. This may have caused excess backpressure causing the old motor to fail. (I opened up the old motor and it was completely rusted from standing washer fluid inside.) The jets are not cheap, but definitely test yours with pressure to make sure both jets are unobstructed.

The connector is not the same for a 2011 Cayenne but it can easily be adapted
Used this to replace my back windshield wiper motor that was stuck. The wiring harness connector was not the same but you can adapt it very easily by removing a pin on the car side. The connector has stayed in place fine and the part has been working well for a year and a half.

Factory upgraded part
FCP Euro customer service is amazing. The 2011 Cayenne's had a poorly designed rear wiper motor that was improved. When I called Porsche, they said that I would need to bring the car in for diagnosis, called Porsche parts department and they didn't know there was an updated version of this wiper but Hayden did the research and got back to me with the part numbers (below) I would need to update the wiring to work with this improved design so the wiper wouldn't rust out the wiring and cause issues. Now I'm ordering all my stuff from FCP. 1x 958 612 704 00 4x N 105 112 03 2x 958 612 740 00 2x 958 612 740 01
