Transmission Service Kit

The transmission oil filter prevents harmful particulate matter from entering the transmission valve body and damaging valve body bores, solenoids, and other fluid passages. Foreign particles in valve body bores, solenoids, or passages will cause shifting issues. Some of these issues include delayed shifts, harsh shifts, or no gear engagement in extreme cases. Clogged filters can reduce fluid volume and flow in the transmission causing starvation of the transmission pump. This can be identified by an RPM-dependent whine from the transmission bell housing area. The transmission oil filter should be changed during any fluid service, and it is critical to replace the filter if major transmission components are replaced such as the torque converter, transmission pump, or transmission valve body.

Another great kit!
This kit has everything you need! It's pretty straight forward, although I had some trouble getting off the original gasket/pan. Turns out you just need to use a little heat (heat gun, not torch) and patience. Use an scan tool to reset the transmission adaptation, drives much much smoother now.

Everything you need also works for 7L Touareg
This did the trick and has everything you need, especially the pan bolts which should be replaced as they are prone to snapping.

Amazing!!
Not only did this come with everything imaginable to perform a transmission service, but they tossed in 2 quarts of engine oil on top of my order! Don't know if it was a mistake but I'm not going to question it :)

You will need basic hand tools, a drain pan, a fluid transfer pump, and a Porsche scan tool or digital thermometer to measure fluid temperature. Please make sure to follow the manufacturer's recommended procedure for changing the transmission fluid.
