Product Information

8" Large Air Filter: This intake system utilizes a pre-oiled, large 8" tall conical 360 degree radial flow performance air filter with 5-layers of progressive finer mesh cotton media providing maximum airflow and performance.

Top Mounted Heat Shield Design: aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations.

Mandrel-Bent Tubing: One-Piece 3" Mandrel-Bent Wrinkle-Black Powder-Coated aluminum intake tube directs unrestricted airflow from the filter to the turbocharger for more horsepower and torque.

Note: This intake system is not currently CARB exempt and is not available for sale in California or for use on any vehicle registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicle.

Installation instructions
This aFe Power intake system was more difficult to install than I had hoped. The provided seal trim piece of extruded rubber material was very difficult to get it to go around the corners of the POWER housing I ended up having to cut notches in the seal material. Also installing the conical air filter was very difficult to wrestle in there after the housing was installed on top of the factory air box. I had to loosen it up completely to get it in there. I think that it would have been easier to install the filter on the tube before installing the housing on top of the factory box. As far as claimed performance boost, I haven't taken it out for a back road "canyon carve" yet. There aren't many canyons here so I will drive some back roads tomorrow.
