A direct injection high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is a critical component in modern gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines. Unlike traditional fuel pumps, it boosts fuel pressure to extremely high levels (often over 2,000 psi) so fuel can be directly injected into the combustion chamber. This enables better fuel atomization, improved efficiency, and higher power output. The HPFP is typically driven by the camshaft and works in tandem with a low-pressure fuel pump. Over time, wear, contamination, or internal failure can lead to drivability issues.
Direct Injection High Pressure Fuel Pump Failure Symptoms- Engine performance problems – hard starting, hesitation, misfires, or loss of power under load.

But luckily FCP's warranty replaced it, after we bought the new one for $$220 more they gave us store credit for the lower priced one. Hope this one lasts more than 6 months.
I bought a cheaper part from another store and it took almost a month to arrive, the part didn't work and the car still had fault code P2C01. I found out about FCP Euro through research on the internet and contacted them through Instagram to ask a question and they responded very quickly and politely. I bought the part and it arrived the next day. It worked perfectly. Sometimes we buy an item at the best price and that doesn't mean it's of good quality. I can say that FCO Euro has the price, quality and speed in shipping the product.
This was my first purchase from FCP Euro. I have been very pleased with the part and the service. 2 years and roughly 25,000 miles later the part is still going strong. I recommend FCP Euro to all my friends.
Bought a Mini Countryman (N18) couple years back from my sister. I fought constant but intermittent CEL and misfiring cylinders. Misfires were inconsistent, sometimes happened after an hour drive, sometimes weeks without the CEL, but when they occurred, I was never near home, and there was never a single one failing; sometimes #1 triggered, reset and then #2 and #3, etc, etc. Did everything to diagnose misfires from plugs to ignition packs to checking crank sensor. Stumbled on a HPFP rebuild video and decided to roll with it. So, on to FCP Euro and got this PSA and not a misfire since.
Now, technically, you're supposed to check fuel trims, pressure, etc before throwing parts but this car had 160K miles and I made a reasonable assumption that the HPFP was original; heck my sis had this CEL for at least 2-years, kept saying her mechanic advised the crank sensor bad.
My mechanic recommended to replace the low pressure fuel line also as the quick release clips that hold it in place can be damaged when replacing the HPFP.
I did not order that and now I have to pay for BMW genuine instead I could have ordered it at the same time as the HPFP.
I was having misfire on all 4 cylinders Mini codes P0300, P0301, P0302 and P15DF. All code have cleared after the instruction with the new pump. Definitely OME as promised. I am still showing one code P053A for the PCV heater control circuit open but the engine run great and cold starts are not a problem. Thanks FCP Euro for a great product and shipping was free and item was received on time.
Great option to replace the high pressure fuel pump of mini copper, my car was having troubles to start on cold, sometimes it took me two or three times to get the car to start, additionally the high emission alert was on most of the time and this pump solve this problem, the car has more power and not have any more problems on the mornings to start my car, additionally this PSA option is half the price than what the dealership quoted,

Pre 3/2012 (fitment note up to 3/2012). Post 3/2012 vehicles use a tappet-style high-pressure fuel pump.
