Engine mounts are designed to keep your engine and transmission supported and fixed to your vehicles frame or sub-frame without causing excessive vibrations that can enter the cabin. Engine mounts keep your drive-train properly aligned and if failed can promote drive train vibrations and premature component wear. Over time, your engine mounts deteriorate resulting in extra engine noise, engine rocking, a less enjoyable driving experience, and thus must be replaced.

About Hutchinson

Hutchinson's roots derive from back in 1853 when Hiram Hutchinson entered the shoe market under the brand name à l'Aigle. The company took its fist steps in 1860 to open up its third factory in Mannheim, Germany, selling to the Central European Markets. 30 years later the company began making bicycle tires in addition to the shoe manufacturing. It was 13 years later that Hutchinson realized that rubber can be used for everything and that they could produce much more such as automotive car tires. coated fabric for airplanes, and dirigibles. By the 1920's, Hutchinson was manufacturing products within 10 segments: shoes, clothes, fabrics, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, heavy vehicles, balloons, heels and technical products. The best-selling products of the time are floor mats, Kégresse caterpillar track belts for Citroën, and seals for jars. Throughout the years Hutchinson had acquired several company's along with developing several new technologies including a process to get rubber to bond to metal via brass coating. Today The Hutchinson Group has become a specialist in elastomer applications for industry and the automotive sector developing new products including engine mounts for many European car makers.

Perfect Fit
Installation super easy on a 2005 Mini Cooper S R53. Good quality OEM replacement to replace that worn and torn out rubber bushings.

Easy replacement, Expected result
My lower motor mount had two minor splits on the rubber on the larger rubber end. It didn't look too bad when looking at it, but after replacing, I can absolutely feel the sturdiness of the engine when disengaging the clutch. Took longer to get the car up in the air than it did to actually do the repair - totally worth it.

Was just like the OEM mount I removed, it even had the same markings and stamping. Would recommend to anyone looking for an OE replacement.

Smooth at idle now.
The last repair I did on my car, I noticed my lower torque rod bushing was completely shot. That explains the whole car shaking at idle sometimes. I can't believe I missed this at my last maintenance service! Ordered a new one from FCP Euro, looks just like the OEM one I was replacing and now my car idles smoothly again.
