It can be made of plastic, rubber, metal, or chrome and serves both aesthetic and functional purposes—protecting edges from damage and enhancing the vehicle’s appearance.

  • Peeling or Detaching: The molding comes loose or falls off due to broken clips, adhesive failure, or impact.
  • Cracks, Warping, or Fading: Exposure to sun, weather, or physical damage can cause the molding to crack, warp, or discolor.
  • Water Leaks or Seal Failure: Damaged trim around windows or doors can lead to water seepage into the cabin.
