Product Information

This vacuum pump supplies vacuum to the brake booster on the N12 engine. It is driven by the exhaust cam and is located on the backside (transmission side) of the cylinder head. Includes sealing o-ring, p/n 11667566483.

A known issue with this vacuum pump is it's failure point which causes the pump to seize which in turn prevents the exhaust camshaft from moving. If this pump seizes the exhaust cam sprocket bolt will break and cause the engine to skip timing. In extreme cases it can also cause the timing chain to break. Due to this failure FCP Euro recommends periodic inspection of this pump to ensure your's spins freely.
