Exact Fitment!
This worked out perfectly. The installation went flawlessly and I was able to swap the primed cover with the painted one from my car so I have a spare now. And bonus! since I bought this for the switch as mine had failed when the rubber seal broke, my comfort touch system started working again after installation.

Trunk Lid Grip Easy Install
FCP Euro sent this part out quickly, great service, quality part. Took about 30 minutes to replace by this mechanically challenged person. Before you remove the screws, have a roll of painter's tape handy so that you can cover the hole that the connector wire comes out of the trunk from, so that the wire does not slip into the trunk lid when you detach it. A primed Trunk lid Grip cover comes with the grip replacement, but there is no reason why you can't reuse the old one since the new one would require painting. Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry off the clips, starting at one end and carefully working to the other side. There are also 4 spots where glue was applied between the lid grip and the cover but if you are replacing this it is probably an older car so it should not be an issue to remove the old cover once you remove the clips. After cleaning off the old glue on the cover, I applied 4 dabs of hot glue to the raised locations on the new lid grip prior to snapping back into place.

"Primed" vs "Chrome"
With exception of the cover color, this is the same part as "Mini Cooper Handle Strip - Genuine Mini 51132753603" This part comes with non-attached "primed" cover, 51132753603 comes with the chrome cover. For me it was simple to move the chrome from my original part and SAVE $30!
