Heavy Duty Upgrade

Sway bar bushings serve two purposes on most cars. They provide a securing point for the sway bar to the subframe and they allow the sway bar to twist and rotate as the suspension flexes. Factory sway bars are made out of rubber to help keep noise down. However, factory rubber bushings are known to tear especially when a car is driven hard. This polyurethane kit from Super Pro is designed to address the failure issue as well as create a stiffer mounting point for the sway bar. This will help increase handling performance and is an effective and simple upgrade that is often overlooked on most cars.

Note: This bushing is for 24mm sway bars only. Please verify swaybar size before ordering.

Suspension Stabilizer Bar Bushing Kit

Sway bar bushings are typically made of rubber or polyurethane and provide a soft mount for the stabilizer bar to the undercarriage of the vehicle. Allowing for the bushing to absorb and soften the articulation of the bar and the end link connections to the rest of the suspension. Over time, these bushings will deteriorate and crack causing additional wear and increased NVH. Sway bar bushings reduce friction and noise by separating the sway bar from the vehicle's body or frame.

  • NVH: Signs of worn-out sway bar bushings include squeaking, rattling, or clunking noises, especially when driving over bumps or around corners.
  • Steering Response: A worn-out bushing can also cause the steering wheel to feel loose or unresponsive, or the car to pull to one side while driving.

Can I install these easily without disassembly of the roll bar? Not clear to me from the picture whether I can pry open the bushing to slide it around the in-situ roll bar? Thanks

This is a set of bushings. It should be possible to pop the bushings onto the sway bar through the open slit. Definitely make sure these are lubricated with the included lubricant before installing to ease in installation.
