A body C-pillar baffle plate is a structural or acoustic component located inside the C-pillar of a vehicle’s body. Its purpose is to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) by controlling airflow and resonance within the pillar cavity, while also adding rigidity to the vehicle’s structure. By sealing and stabilizing the C-pillar area, the baffle plate contributes to a quieter cabin and improved overall body integrity.
Body C-Pillar Baffle Plate Failure Symptoms- Increased wind or road noise inside the cabin, especially at higher speeds.
- Rattling or vibration noises from the C-pillar area, due to a loose or damaged plate.
- Reduced structural support, if the plate becomes dislodged or deteriorated.
