Bolt-on fit for E55; CLS55 and SL55 may need new holes on the brackets. No car modifications are needed.

This higher capacity heat exchanger is more efficient than the OEM component and mounts in the factory position. Used in concert with the latest revision intercooler pump and popular split cooling kits, it is a greater option for stabilizing intake air temps and decreasing recovery time.

VRP heat exchanger
Greetings from New Zealand- this one's a early Christmas present for the Benz & as usual FCP did not disappoint, service and shipping to NZ in 72 hours. Beautifully made & can't wait to get it installed.

I have an early 04’ E55 would this be a direct fit or would some modifications have to be made for it to fit, also would this add any additional coolant to the system?

Would require no additional parts or modification to the existing factory system. Capacity will increase slightly given the exchanger size, but during a flush you should have at least 2 full gallons of coolant ready to flush and fill the system.

So does this fit the cl55? I cannot find this part for the cl55 anywhere. It makes no sense

CL55 models have a supercharger cooling system with a large heat exhanger. This unit is not recommended for the CL55. Unfortunately, we do not offer one that is compatible.

Sorry for the confusion caused, CL55 and S55 may not be a direct fit. I will remove those vehicles from our fitment guide until it can be confirmed
