Vacuum Pump

A vacuum pump is a component that generates the necessary vacuum pressure for various vehicle systems, such as the brake booster, turbocharger controls, and emissions equipment. It is especially important in modern engines, including turbocharged and diesel engines, where natural engine vacuum may be insufficient. A properly functioning vacuum pump ensures safe braking performance and reliable operation of vacuum-dependent systems.

Vacuum Pump Failure Symptoms
  • Hard or stiff brake pedal, due to insufficient vacuum supply to the brake booster.
  • Poor engine performance, affecting systems like turbo or emissions controls.
  • Oil leaks or unusual noises from the pump, indicating internal wear or damage.

Air pump
It works well. Great price and fast shipping. Life time warranty. Make sure you change the vacuum pump every 120,000 miles for insurance. Mine was exploded with ball bearings all over inside the engine while was driving from Redding California to Seattle. I was lucky made back to Seattle without problem. My engine wasn't damaged.

Question Posted by Robert
Hi i purchased one of these vacuum pumps last year from FCP Euro for $152 US now they are $285 US. I'm willing to purchase two more at the original price of $152 if that's ok. I'm from Australia and have spent a significant amount at fcp, it would be greatly appreciated as I will place another decent order to make it my worthwhile freight wise many thanks Robert.
