Air Suspension Strut

An air suspension strut is a key component in vehicles equipped with air suspension systems. It combines a traditional shock absorber with an air spring (a rubber bladder filled with pressurized air). The strut supports the vehicle’s weight, absorbs road impacts, and adjusts ride height for comfort and handling. Over time, the air bladder, seals, or internal shock can wear out, leading to ride and handling issues.

Air Suspension Strut Failure Symptoms
  • Sagging or uneven ride height – one corner or the entire vehicle sits lower than normal.
  • Rough or bouncy ride – poor damping from a worn shock or air bladder leak.
  • Air compressor overuse – system runs constantly to compensate for air leaks in the strut.

are not!!!
I purchased a left front air strut last year, and unfortunately, the strut failed roughly a year later. While I appreciate FCP Euro's Lifetime Replacement Guarantee, a warranty doesn't eliminate the real inconvenience and expense of a premature part failure. I'm now without my car, have to purchase the replacement upfront, and must once again pay a mechanic to remove and install the strut. Those labor costs aren't insignificant. I've generally had confidence purchasing parts through FCP Euro, but this experience has definitely made me reconsider the brand of suspension components I purchase going forward. Unfortunately, quality choices for this particular suspension are limited. A lifetime replacement warranty is valuable, but I'd much rather have a suspension component that doesn't need replacing after barely a year of service.

My car already has Arnott struts installed, will they be accepted as core returns or only the OE struts?

Who pays for shipping the core back to your store? Approximately how much to ship it back from 78539? Thanks.
