Product Information

Replacements for the sun visor pivot covers that typically fade, crack and deteriorate with age.

Sun Visor Cap

A sun visor is the hinged or sliding panel located above the windshield inside a car’s cabin, designed to block or reduce sunlight and glare for the driver and front passenger. They are typically made of a padded core covered in vinyl, fabric, or leather.

Sun Visor Cap Failure Symptoms
  • Won’t Stay in Position: The hinge, detent mechanism, or friction rod is worn, causing the visor to drop or swing freely.
  • Loose or Wobbly Mounting: The mounting bracket or screws may be loose or stripped.
  • Cracked or Broken Hinge: The pivot point or connecting rod can snap, making the visor unusable.

Difficult Install
I realized after I received this item that the shaft of the sunroof visor would need to pass through the closed hole in the middle of this trim. I wasn't sure how to safely disassemble the 25 year old visor shaft so I had to cut a slot in this trim in order to install it.
