Product Information

Requires a CGDI programming tool for use. CGDI key and module programming tools are professional grade and often used by shops or locksmiths to reprogram lost keys and other body or chassis modules in Mercedes and BMW.

This adapter is used in place of the problematic Mercedes electronic steering lock (ESL) and works by bypassing the Mercedes steering lock mechanism.

Steering Column Control Module

The steering column system is crucial for vehicle control, providing the structural support and housing for the components that allow the driver to steer. It connects the steering wheel to the steering gear, translating the driver's input into wheel movement.

Steering Column Control Module Failure Symptoms
  • Wear in bearings or bushings can lead to loose steering or play in the wheel.
  • Damage to electrical components within the column can result in issues with turn signals, wipers, or other steering wheel-mounted controls.
  • Corrosion or impact can compromise the structural integrity of the column, affecting steering responsiveness and safety.
