Per Mercedes: Only replaceable in pairs

Depending on driving conditions, by 50,000 miles your shock absorbers performance will begin to degrade. By 80,000 miles they normally require replacement in pairs.

If you notice the following symptoms, shock absorber replacement should be considered:

  • Bouncy ride
  • Irregular tire wear
  • Poor steering response
  • Braking instability
  • Fluid leaking from the shock body

When the suspension system is working optimally, it will distribute force on the tires contact patches in a way that maximizes contact and performance. Worn shocks will increase dive and weight transfer and affect wheel alignment.

Better Performance B6s
I had a hard time going with the B6s as I didn't want to give up ride quality but wanted a little better performance. After installing The B6s on my ML320 I was amazed how much better it was driving through the Idaho mountains! I believe the ride quality is a touch harder than stock but the added performance is well worth the upgrade. Thanks FCP!

Excellent
Drive gently for few weeks until the new shock strut bed in after replacement. Now i really feel the excellent performance when driving in a bumpy surface, its much better than Bilstein 19-124551

I purchased this and found it to be exactly what was advertised and fitted like a glove,I purchased a pivoting ratchet spanner for the top bolts and this made it very easy. Ride is now fantastic. thank you FCP EURO for such a fantastic service!!!!

How do these compare to the Sachs-Boge version?

The 2 brands are similar but the Bilstein option will be a little more of a sport tuned option with increased valving.
