Product Information

Multi-Fit Radiator

This multi-fit Nissens radiator replaces several OE designs and fits various platforms. Consequently, it may have ports not required for your specific vehicle, including an integrated Automatic Transmission (ATM) oil cooler port.

  • Installation: Connect existing transmission lines to the matching ports on the new radiator, mirroring the original layout.
  • Unused Ports: If your vehicle is a manual or does not use these lines, leave these ports exactly as they are.
  • CRITICAL: Do not modify, plug, or remove unused connections. The closed internal circuit prevents leaks even without attached hoses.
Radiator

Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.

Radiator Failure Symptoms
  • Overheating
  • Coolant Leak
  • Cracking
  • Bent Fins
  • Clogged Fins caused by debris

I put this on my 07 e550 hose blew off the first 20 mins into my first drive given I was going pulls but none the less, the radiators U clip position is a little farther back then the stock, then when the hose itself is completely in it’s U clip position is a little shy I used a Dremel with a cutting blade to widen the u clip seat on all but the drivers side hose receptacles on the radiator that gives the needed space to be able to seat the U clips on both the receptacle and the hoses locking the pipe to the receptacle I also widened the holes the U clip goes over on the receptacle I read the previous comment saying save the old U clips I did that but also went a step further on the driver side of the radiator the receptacle from my old radiator is removable on both I took off the old and put it on the new radiator the screws are different sizes so I had to use my dremel again to widen the holes and shave some off to make the hole align on the old removable receptacle on the driver side then put that old piece on the new radiator and used the screws that comes with the new radiator I got all the U clips to seat but I’m worried about the trans cooler lines now I hope those U clips hold up the previous comment mentioned his gear box dumped maybe a few times also don’t forget to order trans fluid I’m waiting on mine so I can’t comment on how many liters I’m going to order 5 because my gear box isn’t completely empty I heard it holds less then 5.5 liters but how much less I don’t know also I didn’t use all of the new O rings that came with this they are quite smaller the old ones worked fine in my situation i had to customize each hose receptacle it’s 100% doable but id recommend going with the OEM radiator if your not wanting a head ache it’s listed for 580$ on here its more $ but its plug and play

Hardware that comes with these will leave you stranded
It also has improper fitment upon the grooves to which the clips are SUPPOSED to line up on, had ALL the hoses pop off the radiator on me at least once when i had this radiator trying to take out my engine and gearbox, the only hose that hasn’t met its fate is the one coming from the coolant expansion tank, I mentioned hardware specifically because THEY AREN'T SOLD SEPARATELY, learned this the hard way, reused my OEM U clips which i was glad i kept and have not had issues since, lined right up too, and even recently the transmission cooler line popped off due to the radiator being thinner, TWICE, the lines aren’t aligned well and eventually slip out over time, they will click into place and line up with the grooves but overtime i have noticed the clip becomes weak due to it being literally a few centimeters off of its normal position which leaves a slant to start slowly opening, which it did and poured out my gearbox out on the road, save your money and trouble and just go OEM, because of this radiator i’m having no choice but to install an aftermarket transmission cooler as this is the 6th time it has left me stranded due to it just being completely off of factory specs which these cars especially mercedes have very tight tolerances even on things like this. This is within a span of 6 thousand miles on my m273 engine, the car otherwise is good due to the fact the engine has had its timing rebuilt and tested for coolant pressure and passed for the sake of this painful review. I regret not going OEM in the first place, this is terrible, terrible is truly an understatement for the pain it has caused within one oil change interval. Never, ever, call this OEM please, save all of us the trouble and put that tag where it belongs, THE GENUINE MERCEDES PART!!
