Product Information

A common failure item of most Mercedes cooling systems

Multi-Fit Radiator

This multi-fit Nissens radiator replaces several OE designs and fits various platforms. Consequently, it may have ports not required for your specific vehicle, including an integrated Automatic Transmission (ATM) oil cooler port.

  • Installation: Connect existing transmission lines to the matching ports on the new radiator, mirroring the original layout.
  • Unused Ports: If your vehicle is a manual or does not use these lines, leave these ports exactly as they are.
  • CRITICAL: Do not modify, plug, or remove unused connections. The closed internal circuit prevents leaks even without attached hoses.
Radiator

Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.

Radiator Failure Symptoms
  • Overheating
  • Coolant Leak
  • Cracking
  • Bent Fins
  • Clogged Fins caused by debris

2009 s550 RWD
fits right in place no issues sealing the hoses or anything. takes long time to get old one out but not to put back in wink wink. DIY'rs set aside several days and take your time in your home garage.

Nissen Radiator
It is a good product, almost identical as the OE one for my 2008 S550 which cracked at driver side air intake.

Just like OEM
What a pain to replace, but its fits perfectly, and no more coolant leaks. These love to split open at the drivers side air duct. Be ready to have fun if you're replacing one of these.

fits like genuine MB Part
My local mechanic said it fit perfectly. Not an easy installation. Hire a professional and you will still save 50% vs MB Dealership

Perfect fit. Exactly like the original. High quality
This is a replacement job that is not for the faint of heart. The videos online are useless and even the Mercedes documents on this job are bad. You don’t have to have a lift to do this job, just a jack and stands will do. If you don’t want to, this can be done without messing with the AC systme as you can carefully work around that system, avoiding the need for specialized equipment meant and potential headaches. You do need to have a lot of time and patience though. If you have an AMG motor, every single fluid in the car except for brake fluid has a cooler that attaches to the radiator, with corresponding hoses etc. It seems like in order to remove one thing, you have to remove something else to get to it. In the end, you will he removing the bumper, the headlights, the large bumper brace, every single cooler that is attached to the radiator. You can not pull the radiator out from the top. Not if you have a AMG motor and not if you want to deal with removing the AC condenser and dealing with that closed system. The radiator can come out from the front once everything is removed and it’s quite easy. Replacing the thermostat is super easy at this point and should be done along with this job.
