Product Information

Multi-Fit Radiator

This multi-fit Nissens radiator replaces several OE designs and fits various platforms. Consequently, it may have ports not required for your specific vehicle, including an integrated Automatic Transmission (ATM) oil cooler port.

  • Installation: Connect existing transmission lines to the matching ports on the new radiator, mirroring the original layout.
  • Unused Ports: If your vehicle is a manual or does not use these lines, leave these ports exactly as they are.
  • CRITICAL: Do not modify, plug, or remove unused connections. The closed internal circuit prevents leaks even without attached hoses.
Radiator

Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.

Radiator Failure Symptoms
  • Overheating
  • Coolant Leak
  • Cracking
  • Bent Fins
  • Clogged Fins caused by debris

E500 japan imported
This radiator perfectly fit my japanese E500 equipped with power cooling package. No hazzle to install, plug and play. Radiator r comes with o-rings. Replacing radiator It's an easy but time consuming DIY. Keep in mind to buy 1qt from ATF, and 3gal of coolant.

Replacement for Hella Behr
My e500 radiator had been replaced in 2015 with the Hella/Behr and failed this year 2018. Fitting the Nissens I found the trans cooler lines were under significant tension when the retaining clamp was fastened tight, so after some twisting and bending I was able to fit the cooler lines and clamp by hand. Don't know how this occurred because the Hella/Behr radiator was fitted before my ownership, but it is something to be aware of when encountering this dreaded failure. I have filled the cooling system with waterless coolant. 5000k's onward and no issues. The waterless coolant has the benefit of no pressure within the cooling system, thus, eliminating any fear regarding coolant egress to the transmission.
